The City of Green Cove Springs proudly hosts many events in Historic Spring Park, Vera Francis Hall Park, and around town…

The Annual Memorial Day RiverFest is held on Monday, Memorial Day! There are an average of 100 food and craft vendors, a kid’s zone that includes pony rides, bounce houses & slides, train rides, face painting, and more. There is live entertainment throughout the day and fireworks at night, but the best part of the day is when we honor our veterans for their service to our country! How awesome it is to see men and women, both young and old come forward to share!

The Annual Christmas on Walnut Street Parade is organized by the Green Cove Springs Business League and is now held in the evening of Christmas on Walnut Street Festival. Floats glowing with Christmas lights make their way down US 17 to City Hall, where the parade kicks off the lighting of the City tree and Parade of Trees in Spring Park. Go to www.gcsbl.com for more information and to sign up for this year's parade. Don't miss this 50-plus year Green Cove Springs' Christmas tradition!

The Annual Christmas on Walnut Street Festival is held on the first Saturday of December! There are many food and craft vendors, a kids’ zone, and live entertainment.  The afternoon begins with a visit from Santa at his workshop (organized by the GCS Elks Lodge #1892) in the Spring Park pool pavilion where he spends a few hours hearing all the kid’s wish lists! The day concludes with a 1-mile Jingle Bell Fun Run organized by the Clay Striders and a beautiful night Christmas Parade organized by the Green Cove Springs Business League, right down Hwy 17! This city-wide Christmas tradition is something you don't want to miss!

The Parade of Trees held in Spring Park and around City Hall, features about 150 whimsically decorated trees that are adopted by companies, schools and families.

The Annual Trunk or Treat will be held on October 26th and will have decorated trunks, food booths, games, a scare tent, dance and costume contests, and so much more! Candy, Candy, Candy! Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the GCS Police Department located at 1001 Idlewild Avenue, GCS

The following events are co-sponsored by the City:

The Soul Food Festival will be held the first Saturday of October (10/05/19) at the Vera Francis Hall Park. It includes the Soul Food Parade that runs along Palmetto Avenue and west on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Numerous entertainment acts and really delicious food make this festival a great annual event.

CalaVida will be held October 7th and ending October 12th. Go to Calavida.com to view the daily schedule.

Green Cove Springs Food Truck Friday is held 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. every second Friday of the month from March to November. Beer and wine are allowed to be brought in coolers and consumed in a designated area in front of the band. Each person will have their IDs and coolers check by Green Cove Springs police officers and will be given a wristband before entering the area.
