First hearing of the Pedestrian Pathway Project, funded by the Florida Department of Transportation, will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the Council Chamber of City Hall. The pedestrian pathway will be built in three distinct areas of Green Cove Springs. The first section is the north side of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard between Vera Francis Hall park and Palmetto Avenue. Second section is from Oak Street to US 17. The third section is .39 mile along US 17 (N Orange Avenue) from Governors Creek Bridge to Harbor Road.

This meeting will provide information to all interested citizens and to receive comments regarding the project. The second hearing will address any follow up from concerns or questions addressed during the first hearing.
