Rivers House Interior Buildout

Description

Interior redevelopment of the Rivers House. The primary house was constructed in 1889 and is a contributing structure in the City’s National Historic District.  The residential house is a 2-story structure comprising approximately 2,500 square feet.  Over the past few decades, the property has fallen into disrepair.  As a result, in 2021, the City purchased the property with the intent of preserving and reusing the Rivers House.   In 2024, the city retained the services of Michael Bourre and Associates to restore the deck, roof and exterior components of the structure in compliance with the Florida Building Code.
