A complete renovation of the interior of the former Dunbar High School Cafetorium, including rebuilding kitchen as a commercial kitchen and auditorium stage, new auditorium flooring, and new plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC systems.

Current Progress
Forefront Architecture and Engineering has completed the design and the plans were approved by the Department of Commerce. The construction portion of the project went to bid on October 23, 2025 and closed on December 4, 2025. City received seven bids total. Construction costs came in at $1.6 million leaving a shortfall of approximately $426,000. The City submitted a request to Florida Commerce for $585,000 in additional funding and it was approved. Bid was awarded to ARKEST, LLC.
Timeline
Construction to begin soon. Work is estimated to take 12 months to complete.
